[WEBINAR] North-South Solidarity Against Deportation
Migrant and Refugee Workers ' Collaboration and Victories
SEE SESSION TIMES AND REGISTER VIA QR CODE
Migrant and refugee workers from the Global South continue to face immense barriers in accessing justice, protection, and support in host countries. Among the most urgent and shared threats they face globally is deportation—used by governments as a tool of control, repression, and silencing of workers’ voices.
Across regions, however, migrant, refugee, and host-country workers have built cross-border and cross-status solidarities to resist deportation, challenge anti-migrant and anti-refugee policies, and win concrete victories. These struggles show that collective organising—across nationality, legal status, and geography—is not only possible, but powerful.
This webinar will use deportation as the umbrella issue, broadening the discussion to include both migrant and refugee workers, and highlighting North–South solidarity in action.
The webinar will bring together workers and organisations from sending and receiving countries, as well as global allies, to share experiences, strategies, and lessons from campaigns against deportation.
