[STATEMENT] Stand With Iran. Stop the US-Israel Imperialist War Machine. Protect Migrants and Refugees.

Statement of the International Migrants Alliance

March 2, 2026

The International Migrants Alliance strongly condemns the ongoing military escalation of Zionist regime of Israel-US against Iran. This attack is against the international law which plunges the region and the world into wider war.

The bombing in Iran has killed hundreds of people, most of them are children and civilians. The aggression is part of the Israel-US renewed war to dominate the West Asia region and plunder their resources. As a response,Iran bombed several US military bases in neighboring countries. For decades, the United States has armed, funded, and protected Israel’s military actions while destabilizing West Asia through sanctions, interventions, and war. The result is endless violence, displacement, and suffering for ordinary people.

West Asia is a home of millions migrants, refugees and diaspora from around the world especially Asia and Africa. They often have no political protection, limited rights, and little access to emergency support. In times of war, they are trapped. Airspace closures, economic shutdowns, and bombings leave them stranded without income, shelter, or safe passage home. Many are dismissed without pay. Others face discrimination, detention, and abandonment. Migrants and refugees are in great danger.

The ongoing attacks will create new waves of refugees. Families are forced to flee across borders that are increasingly militarized. Imperialist wars create a brutal cycle of forced migration: people are driven from their homes, safety, and future, only to face criminalization, detention, or exploitation as migrants and refugees abroad.

The International Migrants Alliance (IMA), as the largest global alliance of migrants and refugees, urgently demands an immediate cessation of hostilities. We condemn the US-Israel wars of aggression across West Asia as violations of international law and human rights that demand global denunciation. We reject the actions of Trump and Netanyahu, whose leadership has driven these endless wars, leading to the destruction of nations and the displacement of millions, ultimately serving only the interests of arms dealers and the ruling elites.

We stand in deep solidarity with the people of Iran and with all migrants, refugees, and displaced peoples who are once again tragically caught in the crossfire of conflict. We demand an immediate end to all wars of aggression. We call upon all grassroots migrant organizations and peace-loving people to unite in resisting militarism, upholding fundamental human rights, and defending the dignity of all displaced peoples.
