[STATEMENT] End the US imperialist attack on Venezuela! Release and safely return Nicolas Maduro and Cilia Flores!

Statement of the International Migrants Alliance on the January 3 attack by US imperialism on Venezuela

The International Migrants Alliance (IMA) denounces in the strongest terms the US imperialist government, with President Donald Trump at the helm, for its military attack on Venezuela and abduction of Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores.

On January 3, 2026, under Operation Absolute Resolve, the US military conducted airstrikes on Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, killing more than 40 people including civilians, illegally entered the country and kidnapped President Maduro and his wife.

This US military attack is illegal, unconscionable, and tramples on the sovereign right of the Venezuelan people. This is a war of aggression and intervention that needs to be stopped immediately and without condition.

The IMA stands in solidarity with the people of Venezuela who are collectively defending their country and national sovereignty against US imperialism. Just as well, the IMA stands in solidarity and supports the collective struggle of the people of Latin America and the Caribbean fighting for their sovereignty, defense of their land, and aspiration of justice and peace in the region.

The IMA calls on all its members and networks to express solidarity with the people of Venezuela and join in the international condemnation of the US imperialist attack on Venezuela.

Stop the US imperialist attack on Venezuela!

Immediately, unconditionally and safely return President Nicolas Maduro and Mrs Cilia Flores back to Venezuela!

Long live the resistance of the Bolivarian people of Venezuela!

With Bolivarian Venezuela, Latin America resists, for its freedom, peace and sovereignty!

Raise the solidarity of all peoples against imperialist wars!
