After holding their first on-site meeting in Nepal on October 27, 2025 right after the 6th Global Assembly, the ICB, which consists of new members, held an online meeting. ICB members from various parts of the world gathered to discuss several plans that IMA will implement in the near future. During the meeting, it was decided that IMA would hold 9 Days of Migrants and Refugees Activism from December 10 to 18. On International Human Rights Day (December 10) and International Migrants Day (December 18), IMA will release a statement emphasizing major issues related to migrants and refugees. The IMA secretariat will collect information (including photos and videos) about the activities conducted by IMA members during the 9 Days of Migrants and Refugees Activism. Additionally, discussions were held regarding documents and social media posts to be released after IMA 6GA, the appointment of ICB members designated to serve as Refugee ICB (which is still under further discussion), the next on-site ICB meeting in 2026, and a new organization applying to become IMA members.
Members of the ICB convened to deliberate on several forthcoming plans for implementation by IMA. A key decision reached during the meeting was the designation of December 10 to 18 for the "9 Days of Migrants and Refugees Activism." IMA is scheduled to issue a statement on International Human Rights Day (December 10) and International Migrants Day (December 18), which will underscore significant issues pertaining to migrants and refugees. The IMA secretariat is tasked with compiling information, including photographic and video documentation, regarding the activities undertaken by IMA members throughout the 9 Days of Migrants and Refugees Activism. Furthermore, discussions about the documentation and social media content intended for release following the IMA 6GA, the appointment of ICB members to the Refugee ICB (which requires further deliberation), the scheduling of the next on-site ICB meeting in 2026.
The meeting concluded with the planning for the next online meeting, scheduled for January 2026. This subsequent meeting will focus on a more detailed discussion of the ICB on-site meeting, alongside a review of the campaigns undertaken by IMA Global, Chapters, and members.
